Adaptación psicométrica del cumanés en estudiantes de primera etapa de educación básica.

Abstract

Esta investigación tiene como finalidad reportar el proceso de adaptación psicométrica realizada para el Cuestionario de Madurez Neuropsicológica Escolar en estudiantes de la primera etapa de educación básica del Área Metropolitana de Caracas. Este cuestionario fue creado en el 2002 por Portellano, Mateos y Martínez en España, es un instrumento que en su versión original cuenta con confiabilidad y validez, sin embargo, al no estar dirigida a la población venezolana su calidad y precisión disminuye. En primer lugar, se realizó una revisión lingüística y cultural de las instrucciones y los ítems del instrumento por psicólogos y docentes. Se encontró que había muchas palabras en las instrucciones y en los reactivos que no eran propias del vocabulario del venezolano, así como también diversas imágenes y los nombres que se le daban a estas que no formaban parte de la cultura del niño venezolano. Se realizaron las modificaciones pertinentes y se diseñó la versión final del instrumento, la cual fue aplicada a 120 niños con edades comprendidas entre los 7 y 9 años de edad. A partir del análisis estadístico se obtuvieron indicadores de validez, a través del análisis factorial, así como indicadores de confiabilidad, a través de un estudio de consistencia interna que permiten dotar al instrumento de la precisión y eficiencia para evaluar el desarrollo neuropsicológico en niños venezolanos. Abstract The purpose of this research is to report the psychometric adaptation process carried out for the School Neuropsychological Maturity Survey in students of the first stage of basic education in the Metropolitan Area of Caracas. This survey was created in 2002 by Portellano, Mateos and Martínez in Spain, it is an instrument that in its original version has reliability and validity, however, since it is not directed to the venezuelan population, its quality and precision decrease. First, a linguistic and cultural review of the instructions and items of the instrument was carried out by psychologists and teachers. It was found that there were many words in the instructions and in the reagents that were not typical of the venezuelan's vocabulary, as well as various images and the names that were given to those that were not part of the culture of the venezuelan child. The relevant modifications were made and the final version of the instrument was designed, which was applied to 120 children aged between 7 and 9 years old. From the statistical analysis, validity indicators were obtained, through the factorial analysis, as well as reliability indicators, through a study of internal consistency that allow to equip the instrument with precision and efficiency to evaluate the neuropsychological development in venezuelan children.
